Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a functional medicine, originating in China, that uses thin needles placed at specific points on the body to encourage the body's ability to correct itself. These points, located along pathways or channels on the body, modulate the signals of the parasympathetic and

sympathetic nervous system.

These two nervous system branches, when firing

incorrectly, can cause disorders such as chronic

pain, cardiovascular diseases, gastrointestinal problems, migraines, epilepsy, anxiety and nervousness, sleep disorders, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and issues around fertility, correcting orthopedic disorders, and many other health conditions.

After a brief assessment, it takes about 10 minutes to get the needles in place, then a relaxing 20-30 minutes with the needles in the body.
